Mystery tub spout

Hello all-

Does anyone recognize this diverter tub spout? It is heavy cast, and there is no mfr name on it anywhere. My problem is, I have a 1/2" copper stub out, threaded, that extends 3.5" from the wall. I can't find a replacement that will thread right on. All of the universal ones are going to require me to cut off the stub to make it shorter, and I would much rather just screw a new one onto the existing threads. And note: the first question someone will probably ask is what brand the shower valve is. It's a Moen, but that's no guaranty I have a Moen spout. The former owner of this house who did the remodel was a contractor and he used odds and ends spare parts from his various jobs. And I haven't found a Moen spout that fits.

Here it is. The junk you see by the wall is just some plastic wrap jammed in to keep water from entering wall while the spout is off.
