I an about to redo my kitchen. First the countertops, the sink and finally, the rop-in range, which I want to covvert to a free standing.

Anyone who has removed a drop-in, is there any major cabinetry work involved? I'll get to the sink later on.

Thanks, from a first timer!

Your drop in is probably sitting on a little platform about the height of the toekick. That will all need to be removed, as a free-standing sits on the floor. This should not be a big job. You do need to evaluate the location of the gas and or electirc connectors. Get specs on the new range as to exactly at what height these need to be placed. They may need to be moved.
