Hi all,
Hoping for some advice that might save us some unnecessary repairs and money!
We are new to septic as of 2 years ago. The system is roughly 10 years old. We noticed water coming out of one of the 4 leach lines about a month ago, so we had our 1000 gallon take pumped. shortly after maybe a week water was still coming up from the same spot.
It is either the 2nd or 3rd leach line.
The company that pumped it out came back located the distribution box (charged me $250) and said they recommended water jetting it for $1250. The alternative and what they recommend if the water jetting doesn’t work was to put some sort of serious bacteria treatment ($6500)in to possibly re open the maybe clogged leach line.
I kind of expected an expert to look at the clues and maybe have a better guess as the the cause then they did. The prices also seemed quite high, but I don’t have much to go off of.
I thought about pouring some water into the DB to see if all lines were taking water or if some were blocked?
I attached a couple photos hopefully they show up and help.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Mike
