I am planning on replacing the kitchen faucet. I looked under the sink and found that the faucet was secured like in the photograph.

There is another the screw thing diametrically opposite and hidden in the above photo. How do I undo these fasteners and remove the old faucet?

Also how do I get the water marks of the sink? Dont want my home insurance do be under the idea that there is/was a water leak.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Edit : The screws are in a recessed cavity, with 3 or 4 turns at the bottom. The black body at the top seems to be part of the tube.

There is a small set screw on the faucet above the countertop. Remove that the faucet will lift off and you can then remove the mount from the top side.

There is only one set screw on the top side. It connects the faucet handle to the rest of the faucet body.

Just above the countertop, there is a circular tapering metal ring, smooth all round.

This mounting system is the Delta EZ Anchor mounting. The installation and removal process is explained in this video on Delta site.

My faucet is slightly different than the one shown in the video. I will explore it and start with the screw on the faucet handle and see how it goes.

In the above video, @8:24, instead of pushing the button as I didnt have one, I just pulled the spout and it came off. I believe, the rest of the removal process will remain the same.

Thanks GReynolds929 for chiming in. It kept me encouraged to find the solution.

Any ideas on on getting rid of the water stains?

I guess rubbing with water did not do it. Try vinegar or CLR, and that would work if it is hard water deposits.

If still no go, you might have silicates. In that case, I would consider using a pumice stick. That is an abrasive. Pummie is a common brand, or ask your granite supplier what they recommend. For sure, after the deposits are gone, put a sealer on your granite to avoid future stuff soaking in.

Interesting it's like a cross between WaterRidge and Grohe mounting systems. Good job figuring it out.

I will give them a shot. Thanks
