How to connect b-vent to transite on WH change out

WH died. Contractors wanted $4k. Decided to do it myself. I am 79. My hubby was a mater carpenter and I have his tools by not his skills. Got the WH in place. The old vent in the roof is transite. Sits on a collar fastened to the wall. The hole is a tad smaller that the b-vent I got and there is about an inch of space between the two. How can I connect the b-vent to hole in the collar?

Is there some reason you are using B vent? standard single wall pipe fits into the Transite.

Needed would be a short piece of single wall flue pipe with a crimp on both sides. One would stick into flue the other into the b vent with three screws holding it in. Flue side could use a high temp silicon caulk.
Call a Ace/ True Value hardware store ask for the help desk they might make you one.
Need piece of 28 gauge round sheetmetal pipe, hand crimper and tin snlps.

True typicaly we run single wall to a transite at cieling and i would expect to crimp it unless its a looser fit
