I have a new Grohe 35-015 shower body. After tiling and testing low-pressure was noticed. i thought there might be a problem with solder/flux in lines . I bought new cartridge kit and attempted to replace it. There was a small piece behind the little water stops that are between the cut-off and the stop. After removing the little spring stops i attempted to replace them with the new ones from the Grohe cartridge kit #47-678-000 and could seat the new ones back in. I learned this when i attempted to put the cartridge back in and they wound up breaking. Does anyone have any info to share on getting those stops all the way back in so the cartridge can be properly installed. I am waiting for replacements from Grohe , and when i asked tech support they really were of no help.

Also when inspecting inside the space where they should go it with a dentists mirror i see white teflon ring but i think it is what is needed to close the valve. Is there a trick to replacing the stops?
Thanks
