I have an RV with a no name kitchen faucet. The RV uses 1/2" PEX plumbing. I plan to use Shark Bite fittings to Tee in an accumulator to the cold water source under the kitchen sink.

Problem:
The existing system uses an male plastic "elbow" fitting to connect to the faucet cold water supply line and I will need a straight male fitting that is Shark bite compatible. The threads on the current fitting work with 1/2" pipe thread how ever inside there is an attached rubber washer and a tapered pipe. What kind of fitting should I use?

Thanks

Mike

In some cases, you get a new flexible connector that has the threads you need at each end.

Thanks. I made a mistake in my question the non shark bite end needs to be female and it has a rubber washer built in. Here are photos. The metal end is from the faucet the white one is the mating elbow that that I’m replacing with a straight connection down to the tee.

That metal thread is probably straight. I would get short supply line to add between your metal end and the new valve. The new valve could be 3/8 compression. Since you are putting in a new valve, you can choose.

Here are some links that can show the types of lines readily available:

This is not to say there is not a short rigid adapter that you could use instead of a flexible line. The flex lines are very available locally. I am not a plumber.
