Expired pipe dope?

I was using some rectorseal tplus2 that's might be 3 or 4 years old. Seemed to spread on fine.

Specs say shelf like of 2 years minimum. Hopefully my joints won't leak.

So I don't know what happens when its bad or what it would look like..

Hardens? Doesn't cure? Or worst, doesn't seal?

If it separates in the can but you mix it up well before using it, unless it has dried out, it should be fine if you could spread it.
