I changed sinks in kitchen island. Two hole to one drain hole. Removed disposal and added a soap dispenser in the “extra” hole in the sink. Wisconsin allows a standpipe to be used and I knew it needed to be as high as possible. I used a tailpipe with the dishwasher port for a connection and it has the diverter so the water should go down. But the cabinet is getting wet inside. I watched an entire dishwasher run and only a few drops came out. A few to many. Thoughts how to stop the drops? 1-1/2 stand pipe. 18” long.

Update
Today I ran the dishwasher again with soap. I think the water is entering the pipe and the air is trying to leave and the trapped air is pushing water out also. there was a lot more than drops this time also. Maybe the soap changes the surface tension and that causes more water to come out? What is the best way to attach the discharge hose to avoid the burping?
