We have an AIO system that we bought to remove iron (.42) and manganese (1.2) but our PH has dropped since installing the system and manganese is no longer being mitigated. PH needs to over 7. I was advised to add calcite to the tank, but that did not change the PH. I'm told that a water softener will do the job. Can the tank and control head could be repurposed for a water softener? The control has rinse, backwash, and brine draw, which is used for air draw with the AIO. And if so should I replace the katalox with some other type of media? I assume I will need a brine tank and a tube for drawing brine. Can someone advise me if this is possible and if so how to accomplish it. Thanks, LP
