I have a well point that is approximately 34 feet deep. My water level is at approximately 20 feet.
I had a 1/2 HP vertical well pump mounted on top of the well cap with the standard 2 hole cap.
The vertical well pump can no longer be used or rebuilt, can I simply use a horizontal well pump and connect the
pipes accordingly? I spoke with a couple of people locally and their response was that I needed to replace my current
well cap with a 90 degree one. I have seen pictures where people just connect the pipes using 90 degree elbows.
I believe I will need to replace the point in the not to distant future, but I am trying to avoid that at this time since this is at a
summer only cottage that is not used that often.
