I'm having an odd issue with my relatively new Katalox AIO filter. The filter does not have any water pressure when in service. When I flip from 'bypass' to 'service' the water pressure immediately plummets to zero. However, when I trigger the backwash cycle all 3 stages work and release water to the drain (backwash/air-draw/rinse) at full pressure. The filter was installed ~1 month ago and ran without issue. Unfortunately the floor drain couldn't keep up with the backwash due to a clog so the unit was parked after a backwash (to the sump pump) until today. The first thing I did today was manually trigger another backwash. Could that have done it? I'm running another one now to see if that helps.

I'm at a loss as to how this can happen - does anyone have an idea what I should check/test next?

Thanks,
- Q

After tinkering for a bit I found the issue - the bypass valve was plumbed backwards. This meant the inlet check valve became an outlet one so when the switch went from 'bypass' to 'service' the check valve was preventing water from going to the house.

tl;dr OP is a fool who mixed up the IN and OUT port on the bypass valve.

I'll leave this up in case someone down the line has the same issue. Thanks!
