My water pipe(s) inside wall makes intermittent noise even with main valve and toilet valves shut off, toilet tanks were empty and all water in the whole house drained from basement.

It sounds like water running in the pipe but with a higher pitch sound, sometime with very low sound. The noises last about 5 seconds every 2 to 8 minute. It can happen for a few days or a few weeks straight then quite for few hours or a few days (or maybe the sound was too low to hear if not paying attention).

My water heater and furnace do not have pump circulator or automatic feed.

I wonder if it is my drainage problem? but it sound like toilet refill valve refills and stops.

It puzzled me is that the water meter did not show any movement at all.
