I am on well water, recently I've been capturing the backflush water from my calcite filter for irrigation purposes. My well pumps directly to a storage tank, a subjet pump activates in conjunction with my pressure tank when water usage occurs. The water passes through the calcite filter at this point as used. Why can't I just plumb the backflush water (approx. 120 gal/6 days) back into the storage tank?? It's still potable, and any minor contaminates would just fall to the bottom of the storage tank. Thoughts, advice?? thanks
