Hi all,

My tenant let the baseboard radiators in the garage freeze. My husband soldered on a new section of fin, but air got into the system. I've been bleeding the radiators but there is only one bleeder valve in the living area (yeah, real bad design!). There are three in the basement, and unfortunately none on the cold pipes. I've been bleeding all the valves several times a day but still two of the radiators won't heat up.

My tenant doesn't believe me that it's because there's air in the system, he wants me to hire a "real" plumber and doesn't believe me that a "real" plumber would only do the same thing, just costing me beaucoup bucks. We had turned up the thermostat telling him the pump would help push the air bubble to the radiator with the bleeder valve, but he keeps turning it down to 60 because he doesn't want to see his gas bill (I don't blame him but this is the 2nd year in a row he's done this! We told him last year he had to keep the thermostat for the basement / garage on so that water would circulate, but he didn't want to pay to heat the basement / garage!)

If there is anything else I can do, please let me know, or if a "real" plumber could get online to tell me that we are doing all we can so I can show our tenant that "real" plumbers would do the same thing we are doing already, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!!!

If the valves are open and it want bleed out, you may need add a bleeder valve/air vent into the section where the problem is located.
