Went under the house to check a warped board, found this. The top pipe is PVC and is connected to the bathtub. It is not draining properly into the pipe below it. What is the best way to go about fixing this. I just bought this house back in September. It would be a DYI due to low funds right now.

There's more than one way to fix that. Go to a plumbing supply house, not Lowe's or home Depot and show them that picture. The person at the counter is usually a plumber. Do not use a fernco reducer, the rats will eat through it.

You likely have multiple issues like lack of a p-trap and a plumbing vent. You are better off waiting for a time you can afford a plumber because this repair has multiple layers of issues.
Folks, home inspections are supposed to point these things out. Never buy a house without having an inspection.
In our state, there are required disclosures for all known defects.
Keep ventilation to a max. in the bathroom because sewer gas is not healthy and I am sure the sewer gas is permeating your living space.
Additionally, PVC is not permitted for use as water pipe in dwellings because it cracks very easily causing enormous damage. Looks like you have PVC water pipe.

I'm not a plumber but that looks like more than a small job to correct. Is this on a septic system? The sewer gas must be bad coming up from that pipe. A drain needs a trap just for starters, can't run directly into that pipe. The other pipes in the picture might be a problem also if they are PVC and not CPVC.
