We just put in a new stems in both the cold and hot water faucets about 3 months ago and everything was fine until about 3 to 4 weeks ago. I noticed that a time or two I had to turn the knobs a little more than normal to completely turn it off. Although after that it was fine. They turned off normal after that. However, sometime after that is when I noticed that the hot water knob squeaks when I turn it off. Could it be a bad stem, washer, or what? If it is the washer, how can it go bad after a short amount of time?
