My tenant lives on the second floor (I'm on the first) and there has been a banging noise (probably since she recently had a new kitchen faucet installed without telling me). It's a single harsh bang when the faucet is turned off quickly, but doesn't occur when turned off even a little slower. I asked her to turn off slowly, but she always forgets.
I read that turning off the main supply, turning water faucets on at highest and lowest points including the problematic faucet could do the trick, but that didn't work.
I also read it could be due to unsecured pipes under the sink. They are definitely unsecured and can be shaken around by hand, but they were always like that.
Anyone know if the product below will do the trick? I guess that can be installed with no soldering? Look like the right size?
