I have a GWA-175N-I natural gas fired water boiler for heating my home.
I believe the spark-igniter might be failing, but wanted to get another opinion before I went ahead and ordered the part.
Here is a video of the boiler *trying* to start, but failing. (47 sec). The sound is the interesting part. It sounds like the igniter starts at around 11 seconds.
Here is another video a few minutes later where it starts successfully (18 sec.).
I've had it start several times now, but have been turning the heat way up to get the house warm, and then way down so that the boiler doesn't keep kicking on / off.
I'm inclined to replace the "pilot assembly kit with orifice and aluminum pilot gas tubing" as it seems to me this is most likely the part that is failing and not the "ignitor control", "gas valve", or "transformer relay". (See http://www.unionsteam.com/docs/gwa_ctrlSupp.pdf page 11).
Boiler is recently brush/vacuum cleaned Appreciate any comments or suggestions!
Cheers,
Zach
