Hello

I am completely gutting an existing 3 pce bath and converting to a 4 pce with a Gerberit wall hung toilet. My location is rural Alberta near Calgary. All existing DVW pipes are ABS about 35+ years old.

There is an existing 3” waste stack from the basement to just below the main floor that converts to a 2” vent that runs up thru the 2x4 plumbing wall, up to attic & then enlarges to 3” just before it exits roof.

Enclosed are 4 sketches: 1 Floor Plan & 3 plumbing wall options.

These are listed in order of preference & headroom.

Option ‘A’ : 1 ½” wet vent off of 2” shower drain that attaches to stack downstream from toilet

Option ‘B’ : 1 ½” wet vent off of the 3” stack downstream from toilet

Option ‘C’ : 1 ½” dry vent drilled thru joist ( tight quarters) to 3” stack upstream from toilet

I would appreciate any comments on the venting & drain pipes. Thanks

Thanks Terry & HJ for the replies.
HJ, you mentioned there wasn't an effective toilet vent.
What could be dome to remedy this or is it not worth worrying about?
