AMP rating for a bench buffer

I am shopping around for a bench top buffer or grinder. For example, the motors I have found are lets say 3/4 HP. I have seen products that list the AMPs from 2.5 to 5amps. How does this correspond to motor operation, quality, over heating, and so on. Big thanks in advance.

LOL... thats funny! I read about water hammer associated with pressure regulators.....I think I may be calling a plumber monday to see if they can do this with some peppy and some snappy...thanks...

Water pressure spike possibly causing household mayhem

Thank you...it looks like when I googled it, the water pressure to a house should be about 45psi...even at 80 psi, this is pretty high, 115 spikes are bad ju-ju... The only real place to install this is inside the house, just after the main cutoff inside the house in the basement. Are there any...

Water pressure spike possibly causing household mayhem

The thermal expansion tank I installed in October should not have anything to do with this going on right now. I hooked up a water pressure gauge in the basement sink on a direct branch from where the water comes into the house. At first the pressure reads 80 psi. I think this is already...

Thermal expansion tank before WH @ copper flex

I think I made this way more complicated but I think it will work out just fine...The Utilitech ET was defective in that the braided hose would not screw all the way into the tank because of a manuf. defect...that delayed everything 3 hours. These sharkbite fittings make things simplified and...

Thermal expansion tank before WH @ copper flex

Hey guys thanks for your insight....the wife comes home in 24hours......anyway, The utilitech ET had a defect that would not allow the hose to screw completely in to it, so I went to HD and bought a WATTS ET and looks good to go...I am going to charge this thing to 60psi and call it a day...

Thermal expansion tank before WH @ copper flex

WELL, it just occurred to me that unless I prefill this hose with water, there will always be an air bubble between the cold water line and the tank...OR hold the tank below the tee and hope the water displaces the air and the water reaches the tank and then I can just reach up and place it...

Thermal expansion tank before WH @ copper flex

All 3models i saw at Lowes come pre charged to 25psi. so it doesnt matter whether i charge it up to the pressure i want before hanging it? the instructions say to do it as a last step but that may be awkward once it is mounted in the ceiling.

Thermal expansion tank before WH @ copper flex

The thermal expansion tank comes with 25psi from the factory, Can I pump this up to around 60psi before I install it on the tee branch?

Thermal expansion tank before WH @ copper flex

I decided the easiest thing to do is to put a 3/4” sharkbite tee in the middle of the cold water supply in the 1st picture, branch off with a short section of 3/4” and a section of sharkbite hose to the expansion tank...should make for a very neat job. I will post pictures once i am fnished...

Thermal expansion tank before WH @ copper flex

It is premium hi-test asbestos @ 51%; I had it tested when I worked at a reference lab about 15 years ago...House built in 1956. Trust me it is there... I have everything in the house isolated with ball valves and it would be nice to install a TEE before the WH bypass to keep WH and expansion...

Thermal expansion tank before WH @ copper flex

The other thing i wanted to do was to isolate this tank in case something happens (leaks and so on) or i need to do thing to it....easy to bypass if on the WH loop. Thanks
