Venting Bathroom and Laundry Rooms - Unnecessary Vents?

All of the plumbing at the basement floor level is already done (under concrete), and there is not a trap primer for the floor drain.

Venting Bathroom and Laundry Rooms - Unnecessary Vents?

Thanks for the feedback. Removed the vent takeoff for the laundry, and made the adjustment to vent the water softener, utility sink, and floor trap farther up above the flood rims. Water softener is on the same floor as the utility sink and drain in the basement, so should be ok there. See...

Venting Bathroom and Laundry Rooms - Unnecessary Vents?

Finally about to start the DWV installation at our cabin. Here is the final layout. Any issues anyone can see?

    Kitchen Vent Options

Thanks for all of the feedback. Thinking will add this vent thru the roof so it is done right and don't have to worry about a mechanical device (AAV) failing down the road.

    Kitchen Vent Options

Yes, in Michigan which is IPC.

    Kitchen Vent Options

See attached layout. A local plumber recommended venting this kitchen sink with an AAV (Air Admittance Valve), but I am not that familiar with these devices. I was going to tie it into the main stack vent to only have a single cutout in the roof, but this has a long up and down path thru the...

    Ceiling Insulation with Scissor Trusses

What is the best option for insulating a ceiling with scissor trusses that are 2x4 /24" on center construction? New build in Michigan, so planning on R-38 or better. Option 1 is single layer R-38 faced fiberglass insulation batts, Option 2 is two layers with R-13 faced to fit in the 2x4...

Venting Up and Down in Attic?

Thanks! It doesn’t create a trap, so figured it was ok but wanted to check. I couldn’t find this specifically mentioned anywhere in the code.

Venting Up and Down in Attic?

Is venting up then down in the attic to get to main vent stack acceptable? Vent line would be 2" and main vent stack can support these additional fixtures.

Venting Bathroom and Laundry Rooms - Unnecessary Vents?

Adjustments made. Agree, would be more challenging to tie the tub and shower into the toilet drain line. Thanks!

Venting Bathroom and Laundry Rooms - Unnecessary Vents?

Thanks for the feedback. Here is an updated diagram. The toilet drops into a 4"x3" closet bend. Does the toilet drain still need a vent line, or can it vent to main vent stack?

Venting Bathroom and Laundry Rooms - Unnecessary Vents?

Are the vent lines questioned in the picture necessary? Was thinking that these fixtures are all vented thru the main stack or wet vented from other fixtures.

    Basement Bathroom - Single Vent

    Yes it does. Thanks!

    Basement Bathroom - Single Vent

Never posted anything to this forum, but used it a lot to get some great information from it! Question at hand, is this bathroom waste drain/vent layout ok with a single vent in a basement bathroom? Toilet and Tub are wet vented to the vanity vent. Picture is attached, it is a new build and...
