Current setup:
Well pump filling 325 gallon vented tank via float switch.
Countyline CLTS5 drawing from storage tank and flowing through a Fleck 2510 AIO aeration filter then to a 85 gallon pressure tank then to the home.
Countyline has inlet and outlet check valves. Pressure switch set to 40 cut in and 60 cut off.
Problem: once countyline reaches 60psi it shuts off but pressure drops to 45psi per pressure gauge mounted on outlet. Pressure slowly drops until it reaches 40psi then pump kicks on. This cycle repeats about every 10 mins or less.
Problem #2: I also noticed that sometimes, the pump will reach 60psi then the pressure switch will cycle from 60 - 40 psi (so on, off, on, off and so on) very quickly until we unplug the pump.
We've looked for leaks in both inlet and outlet without any evidence.
Question: Any idea why the pressure drop once we reach 60psi? Wouldn't it hold there once that pressure is reached?
FYI - check valves were installed for troubleshooting purposes. The issue is present with and without the check valves.
