Hi,

First, I want to thank you guys for all of the great info on this forum. I just had my bathroom remodeled, and while I didn't do the work myself, I like to understand how everything was being done. This forum was very helpful in giving me that info.

Anyways, I noticed a white spot on a cold water pipe in my basement. It's hard to the touch, and has a slight greenish outline around the edge. I have been searching and haven't been able to figure out what it is. I figured this was the place to ask. To help, I've attached a few pictures. So, please let me know if you know what this is, and whether it's something I should be concerned about. Thanks so much!

Mike

Looks like some thinset or plaster was dropped on the pipe. Scrape it off if it bothers you.
Doesn't look like a problem to me. Have a nice day.

Great, thanks so much for the responses. Glad that it doesn't seem to be anything too serious.
