Remove a brick? Or drill holes through the brick?

I am needing to run 2 water lines through my brick wall...should I drill through the brick? Or simply remove a brick and then seal it back up with foam or some other sealant?

Whichever I should do, what is the best way to do it?

Depending on the brick type & hardness, driling can be really easy or really difficult. But drilling would be the route I'd go as a rule, even it it takes a diamond grit core-drill to get through it. A carbide core drill would be good enough for most brick though, and are considerably less expensive:
