In the past month I have had 2 pin holes in my galvanized water line in the attic. I live in Texas and I am trying to figure out how to make it last till its cooler in the attic. Does it get holes in horizontal runs more the vertical? Could I just redo the horizontal lines first and it last through till fall? Thanks for any suggestions....Michael

It's quicker to just replace everything. I can't imagine being in the attic and trying to reconnect new pipe to old rusting galvanized.
That would be a bear.

If you need to get by, just throw on some repair clamps.

IN most cases horizontal pipes DO have more problems than vertical ones, but you also have horizontal lines inside your walls at the bottom of the vertical pipes.
