Basic question here. leaky clawfoot tub faucet.

Cold water drip.
I know the basic concept of tightening it, but I have also broken things by overtightening. Hence my username.

The stem gets removed and the washer replaced. Sometimes the "seat" that the washer presses against needs work or replacement.
