This is a brain teaser. The zip tie for the condensate line snapped.

How do plumbers thread them through there?

Basically I want to thread a zip tie through the drain. What's the technique? Lol.

I'm not looking to change that pipe or use a clamp

There is no good way. Stick the zip tie down into the grate and feed it around the sides of the "bowl" until it hits the right spot and makes it's way through. Either that or take the grate off.

If your first zip tie is still in place attach the new zip tie to it and feed it through.

Usually you can lift the grill out.
