I built a summer home for a client 3 years ago and he is having trouble with the Weil-McLain boiler, mainly the heat exchanger. 1st floor is in-floor radiant heat and 2nd floor is baseboard heat. The owner hired a heating/cooling company to go out and look at it and they said it has been losing glycol because the heat exchanger is leaking and burning up the anti-freeze. I heard somewhere that turning down the heat to its lowest setting for the winter (being they only use it in the summer) is hard on these new boilers. It's hard on the heat exchanger. Any truth to this, or any articles I could email the home owner?
Thanks,
Jeff Paquette
