In order for the preparation for softener install in the garage of two storey home, I have question about the drain.
I have located a vertical PVC drain (I think it is a 3") from a bathroom upstairs that goes thru the wall cavity of the garage (garage walls have sheet rock on them). I am thinking that installing a Wye or T fitting into this vertical drain line and then have a P-Trap out of wall cavity and then have a airgap adapter on the vertical run of the P-trap. The top of the airgap will then get connected to the softener drain.
The airgap I order is http://www.ecotech-dla.com/dla-g.htm
Do you see any problems with this plan? OR is there a better design that can be used? Thanks for your comments and suggestions.
