Water pressure regulator noise

Any time there is water usage or pressure change the regulator on the side of the house makes a very loud squeaking noise.. is this a failing regulator or do I need to add another water hammer arrestor? The squeaking can be heard throughout the house as the noise passes through the pipes. Video below

Your valve needs rebuilt or replaced. Possibly a cleaning could help.

It can be rebuilt but it will take a lot of your time. Recommend replacing a new water pressure regulator.
