I am having issues with water coming up through the orifices on top of my gas water heater. I am not sure what is going on. I can see water coming up from around the center flume, and around the relief valve. When I push down on the top of the heater lid water is coming up. What is the cause of this problem. MY exhaust vent (power vent) tends to suck up water into it, and on occasion, goes back down into the water heater, causing it to go out I am assuming. It is an "on demand fire" no pilot light. only lights when it demands water. Does anybody have any idea why I am getting water on top of water heater. Is there anything I can do at home without spending a bunch of money to fix it. (I'm guessing not) It's only 8 yrs old. (Rheem, I believe)
