I'm in the process of changing out my tub drain and not sure how the tee is attached to the galvanized part in the ground. It doesn't look like there's anything that's attaching it to the tee. Like a slip nut or threads on the pipe. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I doubt that is galvanized in the ground. Galvanized is not allowed for drainage in ground because it readily rots out. Your photos are not clear enough in detail so wire brush off more. It could be soldered in to copper DWV, if not, there would normally be a slip joint nut connecting to the drain.
