Flushing toilet in laundry room causes hammer or thud in basement hot water pipe. Can hear hammer or thud at other end of house. Installed arrestor at toilet and did not fix problem. Installed new Toto fill valve.

Found where the noise is coming from. Again, I can feel the thud (clunk) on the hot water pipe. I know it don't make sense. Anyway, the noise is coming from the master bathroom shower valve, the pressure control module which is back part of the shower cartridge. It's a weird brand, Aquadis,
so will probable change out with a Delta or Moen.
