Does anyone know of a mechanical/thermostat type valve that will open automatically when the temperature of the water in the pipe reaches a temperature like 120 deg, then opening to allow that water to circulate through a radiant floor zone before returning for reheating? I guess I'm thinking of something like what is found in an auto's cooling system....

The project is this: Coal stove with heat exchanger for heating domestic hot water. I want to have a use for potential excess hot water. The radiant floor tubing is already installed, but heating the domestic hot water is the primary goal. If that is achieved, I'd like the excess heat to be circulated under a few cold floors.

Any help would be appreciated.

Special Valve

I have a Taco 007 for the circulator. Any specific suggestions on aquastat and relay? They all seems a bit pricey for what I was planning. My system will not be large and id like to keep it simple. I can purchase wholesale from RE michel if that helps to narrow it down.

Could a thermostatic radiator valve (non-electric) remichel Cat.# 1c800 work for what I am proposing?

The Taco will always be circulating water if the coal stove is on.
