Should I change resin

On a 30 year old EcoWater softner, will it remove iron more if changed.

Is there a certain type or what I should be looking for in a resin that removes iron.

What is the iron amount?
What is the water hardness?
Any other minerals to be removed? (ie Manganese)
What size softener?
How much water is consumed daily?

Good chance regular standard 8% crosslinked resin would be appropriate.

There is a fine resin that they could have used. Regular resin is small. Fine resin is really small. Guess you could peek.
