Hello,

I normally use Pro’s Pick blue salt and it seems to work well. I have to go to a specialty store to buy it which is not the most convenient.

Ate there other types of salt that I should consider which might be more easily available?

Any fairly clean large crystal salt will work fine. NACL is NACL. fine salt (table salt) has issues with plugging the bottom distribution slots in the brine well, other than that a coarse crystal salt is usually low cost and works great. Do not use road salt since this is typically very dirty.
