I am replacing the strainer and broken sleeve in my pedestal bathroom sink.
The old one is stuck in the drain.
How do I get it out?

A pop-up lav drain is connected by a nut on the bottom of the sink. This is very difficult on a pedestal. They are usually installed in the sink before it is put in place.
