At our HOA in Bellevue we have 19 buildings on 5 driveways. Pex pipe that goes up and down the driveways has just been replaced. Now we have one galvanized water supply pipe that enters each building under the concrete slab.
Each pipe supplies two townhouses.
This pipe is about 18 feet long
A couple of years ago, we had to replace one galvanized pipe with a pex pipes that entered through the first floor of each Unit. . There is no spacing between floors. Any pipes have to go through the joists presumably.
Question: Would the preferred solution be to use Trenchless or do the first floor replacement like we did before?
(One pipe supplies the two Units. How they go between the units is unclear. They either go underground or through the wall. However, replacing that section of pipe would require that both water tanks be removed and reinstalled presumably)
