We have recently experienced flooding in our area. Our sump pump works and is functioning properly (just tested it this morning) but water is not flowing into the pit. We have not heard the sump pump run in at least 6 months. The sump pump is in a basement bathroom, and we always experience flooding outside of the house, at that bathroom window. Rain water pours into the window. Yes, we are replacing the window, but that will not fix inches of standing water against a new window.
Why isn’t that water getting to the footer tile/drain? The sump pump used to run all the time, even when it wasn’t raining, and now we never hear it even when neighbors report theirs is going off every 15 minutes. The only flooding is through the window, but it’s still water in the basement. Appreciate your help.

Check the line for a stoppage that blocks water from entering the sump
