Had both units installed and find that the "instant" hot water is not so - it takes a good minute before water turn lukewarm - is there
an attachment unit that can be added to increase the "instant" feature- look forward to the experts advice -

You can add a circulation feature. Other than that those models don't come with a pump so your looking at buying a while crossover system (which suck in my opinion) or adding a recirc.line.

If you bought the model 2A you have something to work with because they have a mini tank and pump. Your plumber should be able to help.
There is no "instant' thing about tankless.
