Metered softener quote

Purchase Agreement left w/my wife:
Model 844-255IL/760 metered water softener.
$1,400

Googled "844-255IL/760"-
Apparently an Autotrol/Logix valve, but no hits on the "844" and "IL" part.

This is replacing a 32,000 grain softener.
Is quote reasonable for install/haul-away? Expected $1,000-1,200.

Plan to follow-up/call them tomorrow, just looking for info to prep.

I assume this is for an 8x44 tank, this is smaller than would be recommended for almost any application other than specific commercial applications that use very little water.

I would ask them to up the system size to a 10x54, these typically cost minimally more but will double the system size. Price sounds good for a remove/replace/disposal.
