Starting a week ago, we notice lower water pressure in house at random times caused by my Kenmore softener discharging water out of drain tube mostly in morning hours, and the panel does not indicate it is in any cycle, just the water flow bar moving rapidly. Not sure how long it lasts but its definitely over 1o minutes and during the day, then it just ends on its own. Doesnt seem to be a full regeneration because it just drains, then stops. Checked timer settings (2am regen time), cleaned screens and venturi etc. Took cover off, ran a test regeneration and gear moves correctly through cycles, fills and draws brine. Phone tech only said it sounds 'odd'. I also unplugged unit and plugged in again. Any thoughts? Thanks

Follow up, after cleaning screen, and opening bypass again, home now has low water pressure, if I shut bypass, pressure resumes. Might be time for a new unit
