Hi I'm new here. I have no drain in my basement except the one in the basement bathroom tub. in the master bedroom is a metal pipe coming out of the floor that the drain pipe of the upstairs kitchen sink leads to. And since what seems to belike a catch basin or septic tank is damn near right out side the exiting door of that room leading into the back yard, I assume that's what this pipe leads into. This pipe comes out of the concrete floor maybe a foot and a half. The pipe coming from the kichen sink is pvc some elbows to reach over just outside the wall into the basement room covered by a box that sealed it in. the two pipes just fit pvc inside metal pipe just slightly. over both together some black rubber cuppling I think it can be called one side smaller than the other I suppose is because the pipes are just slightly different sizes. So one side transitions to fit then two metal rings one at the top and bottom you have to tight with a screw driver. This was to keep it from leaking. Well it didn't work. The smaller pvc pipe comes from above the metal pipe thats incapsulated in concrete. what can I do to let this connection continue with its purpose but just stop leaking. I am making this into a room for my grandmother so she doedn't go toa nurseing home. My aim is to install heated floors so she dontfreeze to death in chicago's winter's and just simply make her a comfortable as possible I am able.what can I do to connect these two pipe's and stop the leak? Sorry so long. And thanks in advance I appreciate you.

For gutter cleaning and maintenance you can hire gouttiere saint jerome for gutter maintenance and cleaning Sorry so long. And thanks in advance I appreciate you.
To fix the leak between the PVC and metal pipes, try using a proper PVC-to-metal adapter or a better transition coupling designed for a secure fit. Clean both pipe surfaces before sealing with high-quality silicone sealant or pipe thread sealant. Tighten the hose clamps securely, and consider adding more if needed to ensure a leak-free connection. This should solve the issue and allow you to continue with your project.
