Going to hook up a dynaglo wall heater. The gas inlet is 3/8”. Can I hook up a 3/8” nipple to the heater and then use a 3/8” x 1/2” reducing coupling to finish up the rest of the install?

NYC code requirements are really tough.

Depending where in NY your located

I had to send my employees to an 8 hr class then a 4 hr class and finally a 2 hr class

Yet the LMP still has to be physically on the site

I know of 3 master plumbers who had their license revoked

Not familiar with dynaglow something special about it? thats how ovens, and clothes dryers , are hooked up . many of the flare adapters for the flex lines have 3/8 id and 1/2 od threads negating the need for a 1/2 x3/8 reducer. Does your code allow a flex line or all hard pipe? check with local building department. You might not be allowed to work on your own property there!

Im doing all hard pipe down from the heater to the bottom tee in the picture then hooking up csst to the t.
You got plan to do all this but just asking whether a reducer can be installed? certainly a reducer is always allowed with few exceptions. however a bushing has issues where they can be used
