Culligan Water filter bleach bottle check valve

I have a Culligan Medalist water filter that has started filling bleach bottle on brine line with water. Is there supposed to be a check I might have lost when changing bleach bottle?

Since a softener control valve is being utilized for a water filter application, a check valve in the brine line will allow the chlorine solution to be drawn from the chlorine tank into the media tank during Brine Draw, but will prevent water from entering the chlorine tank during the Brine Fill phase of the regeneration cycle.
