Brine Tank Grid Plate Required

My brine tank did not come with a salt grid plate. Is it needed and or recommended? Thanks....

It is rarely needed and typically not recommended. The primary reason for a grid plate is to allow the use of smaller brine tanks in locations where space is limited.
