I have a Bosch tankless whose water temperature will spike around 135°-145° then will cool down quickly to about 115° and stay there until you close the hot tap and then reopen it.
I see that it has 2 overheat sensors, one in the pilot light systems another in the the hot water output. I take it that this second sensor is what is cooling the water down after it sees high temperatures. But what is causing it to overheat in the first place.
