Hi everyone,

I am putting a drip pan under my steam generator unit, which is located in a little alcove.

What is the best practice to connect the 1" waste line from pan to the existing waste line in the floor?

Do I I install a trap under floor, bring it thru the floor and just let the drain flow into it via floor drain , or is there such a thing as a reducer that will take the 1" waste line?

How do I prevent water damage in the event at the waist line might back up in the future?
