Anyone ever use Watco's Cable-less "turnstyle" waste overflow?

Among the options for bathtub waste/overflow, I think I found a winner, if only I can actually find one of them... part # 600-TS

For a Kohler villager tub with PVC drain plumbing. Might not have much in the way of future access panels, so I want something glued up.

Just came back from the local plumbing supply store. They got Watco on the phone and can't seem to order it. Watco says they make it but I can't seem to find it anywhere reputable.

It's too bad, this seems like such a slick solution. So about a backup plan...

I want the most reliable setup that should never require maintenance/access beyond what I can do from within the tub. I'll stick to Watco/Gerber if I can source them locally/quickly. Existing drain plumbing is pvc...

So Brass (with a fernco) or PVC (glued)?
Trip Lever (comes with a gate to help prevent hair clogs)
or Lift and Turn (I read that hair gets beyond it and may clog)?

I hope to have this sorted out ASAP.

Hey, wait a minute.

This is awkward, but...
